Neptunes cove reviews12/12/2023 ![]() ![]() They brought water, soda, and rum punch for drink options.Īfter they were done cleaning and had the trays ready to cook we went to a beach area and they cooked everything up while we hung out in the water drinking rum punch. We snorkeled around a bit while they did that and got to see more nurse sharks. We went to a nice spot where one of the guides caught fresh lobster and then they cleaned all our fish catch. My husband was sad he didn’t get a barracuda. We caught a lot of snapper, grouper, and mackerel. Now I know for the next time we go fishing I need the medicine. We actually went out more in the deeper waters and we’re doing good until I got seasick and we had to stop fishing. They made sure we avoided the weather to find a nice fishing spot. Our Airbnb had a dock so they picked us up from that dock during the middle of a killer thunderstorm, caught bait in our little water area, and then out we went. We did a full day reef fishing with BBQ with Neptune’s Cove. We will most definitely dive with Jeff, Buzz, and Danny again on our return. ![]() Neptune Dive Center is our choice for the best cost-effective and stress free Dive Center when visiting Ambergis Caye. Proper size tanks of either air or nitrox, as agreed, were available for each dive. Our personal dive gear was properly cleaned, stored, and ready on the dive boat for the next days dives. Being picked up/dropped every dive day via boat at your hotel boat dock is a great no-cost added service. He not only knows the sea and how to navigate its waters, he is a terrific source for local information. The Boat Captain, Danny, is a master of his craft and a pleasure to be around. He is more than willing to assist individual divers who want help mastering an equipment issues or skill. The Dive Master, Buzz, is well seasoned, has a very calming presence in and out of the water, knows the many local dive sites and is happy to customize a dive to any desire or skill level. If he and his team could not make something happen for us, he found someone on the Island to adequately help us. The new Owner, Jeff was very accommodating and customized our dives as much as possible. They are investing in new equipment, resources, and most importantly, support their local staff. It is important to note, the new owners are dive masters from the USA and directly manage daily operations. However, we learned Neptune Dive Center was recently purchased and is under completely new management, direction, and vision. Initally, we were bit hesitant to look at or even try Neptune Dive Center due one or two past on-line reviews that were not very complimentary. We try to dive with only quality "concierge" type dive centers as opposed to the larger dive centers that only host large groups, tours, or impersonal types of dives.
